Language is a crucial bridge to a new life.
The English Club at the UACCMN is designed to help newly arrived Ukrainians acclimate to their new environment by improving their use of English. Experienced teachers and volunteers help participants practice skills that will help them in daily interactions, and that will enhance their opportunities for employment, education, and social integration.
Each session is tailored to address various levels of proficiency, ensuring that everyone — from beginners to more advanced learners — receives the support they need. Our goal is to foster a welcoming atmosphere in which individuals feel comfortable making and learning from mistakes!
In addition to language instruction, the UACCMN’s English Club offers cultural exchange opportunities, allowing members to share their experiences and traditions with others in the community. The English Club is a vibrant community where friendships are formed and cultural understanding is deepened. By participating, Ukrainian refugees can more effectively navigate their new surroundings while staying connected to their heritage.
We are proud to offer this valuable resource and look forward to continuing to support our community through these efforts.
The English Club generally meets at the UACCMN on Saturday mornings. Visit our calendar page and join UACCMN Refugee Services group on Facebook to stay updated.
